Car Fire 7-5-11

The Fort Valley Volunteer Fire Department was toned on 7-5-11 @ 06:41 for a vehicle fire. Engine 14 responded @ 06:51 with a crew of 2 and was advised that the vehicle was fully involved. Ambulance 14-1 responded driver only and 2 other firefighters responded in their POV. Engine 14 arrived to find a 1970 VW Bug in the middle of Woodstock Tower Road fully involved with no passengers in the vehicle. The front booster line with foam stick was deployed and the fire was extinguished @ 07:03. Apparatus were moved to open the road and all apparatus remained on location until the tow truck arrived and loaded the vehicle. All units returned in service @ 08:16
